Dairy managers...

So I'm fixing to get promoted to dairy manager....is there anything helpful that I should know? I've worked dairy before, but never managed it. I was told I would get the same pay rate as I make now but I would receive a raise if I became "certified", any idea what I have to do to get that and what kind of a raise is it? Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

you will get an extra 50 cents an hour as "lead dairy". You do a managers job but don't get managers pay which sucks, I should know as I am lead frozen. I would think twice before taking it if your already full time your in for a lot of headache with little to show for it. If your going to make a career of kroger it is the right step to take if you want a real dept managers job later on.

I'd think long and hard about it. YOu'll make just as much in another year without all the headache. They just replaced the Grocery MGr in our store but wouldn't post it like they should throughout the other stores. The dairy mgr wanted to apply but they secretly posted it in a store where the old grocery mgr went.THerefore the poor dairy guy didn't even get an interview before the old grocery mgr filed for it, then of course they slipped him back in. Its all a good ol boy think in Kroger. Sometimes people are like turds that just wont flush and keeps coming backup.
