Our managers are starting to make us check in all of our trucks now. I'm sorry, but I just don't have time to check off to make sure every single item on a 300-400 case truck is on the pallet four times a week, not counting the 3 other trucks that we get, and I only have 2 part-timers helping me.
Does anyone here have to check in all of their trucks too (and no, I'm not talking about receivers, I'm talking about grocery mgrs., drug mgrs., market mgrs., etc.)For those that do, are there any tips you may use for checking in trucks quickly? (I am a dairy manager by the way)
We print our invoice for every truck. By the time I or my help , breaks down the truck, I know what I am missing or added out. But then it is the meat department and it is not difficult. We work the lunch meat, look at any holes and scan the order and that will tell us if we are short any of that.
