God D#mn I hate this company. Of all the companies going out of business & these ba$tards thrive like  roaches.

This has to be the worst f#cking  company in the grocery business to work for. I honestly believe they're worse than the Walmarts the news stations are always blasting. F#cking mafia run a$$holes.

I wish the economy would hurry up and turn around so other business's would start hiring. Seems Kroger has a turn over rate like that of a McDonalds.Nothing but retards and handicaps thrilled to be there. They never had a respectable job.

You know its a $hit company and job when the bums, panhandlers and inter racial couples look down on Kroger employees. And then the co#ksucking management isn't any better to the workers. It really is a $hit job. When this economy turns around, I gotta get my a$$ out of here faster than a cat can lick his a$$. It truly is a employers economy now, they can treat you like $hit and gettaway with it because they know that no one is hiring. But I keep telling myself its gonna get better. ANd it will. THen I'm gonna walk in and tell that sorry as$ manager he can shove putting Fruit Loops on the shelf right up his a$$.

And I actually cared about these a$$holes till now. Never, and I mean never phuck over the people who handle your merchandise. They will get the last gig in. And it'll costs this sorry a$$ store manager in the long run.

For you management personnel who read these post. YOu keep that in mind. YOu may think you get the last phuck, but when you piss on the wrong people, you better tie your $hit down and guard it. Stuff gets tore up real easy outside the angles of those out of date cameras fuzzy a$$ cameras.

Are you in the union, OP? If so, then you can rest assured that it's at least more difficult to get rid of you than a non-union member. Also, if this be the case, a common tactic to get rid of someone is to give them the worst/tedious tasks and hours. If you can manage to stick through it and do the best job you can, they can't do anything more than make your time there miserable.

In the 3 years that I've been at my store, I have had 4 department heads, 2 store managers, and a ton of co-managers. So, if you've got a problem with a certain member of management, persevere and you might out-last your current management.

I guess it comes down to this - how badly do you need steady income and is it worth the trouble?

Hell yes I'm in the Union. But the Union isn't worth a D#mn for PT.It all focus's on FT. I been at it for going on 4.5 years at Kroger due to WD closing its doors. I've got over 17 years experience putting Fruit Loops & Vienna Sauges on the shelf for much better stores and compnaies. And thats even with taking 12 years off to get away from phucks like these Kroger mgrs. and working in a more respectable job.And I still got more know how than the ringmasters running this circus.

What pisses me off and I just don't know how much more clearer I can tell these dumb phucks. As a PT, I'm only going to work around 3-4 days aweek while I build my business.  I transfered to this $hitty division against others recommendations saying the Union Contract sux in this region. But I came up and scouted the store. Told them 3-4 days and 18-24hrs per week as I have my own business. Their response is "no problem, we'll work with you, you got it if you come here". I had that at my other Kroger job. I just needed to be closer to family because one of my parents was in grave health and the other is handicapped.

So now I walk in and see the schedule after 2 1/2 years in this $hithole and every pt is down for 20-25 hours but spreadout over a 5 day period working as little as 4-5 hours anight. Who the phuck works 5 times aweek, Full Timers...thats who. What person wants to getup and put on Krogers monkey suit and drive 1.5 hours round trip and 70 miles and shuffle their whole day for a pis$ ant 4-5 hours. Hell I'm putting more money in Haji's pocket just for gas and loss of my time driving. Never have I seen a grocery store have PT come in FT amount of days for pt pay and hours and crap benefits. I've worked for better companies that filed bankruptcy due to corporate theft and closed for a lot less money. If they need warm bodies 5 nights aweek then they need to hire Full Timers. PT has always been part of the week, not part of every night just to put a head on the schedule.

Yea, I'm venting bigtime. Now I remember why I walked away from grocery retail years ago.Its $hit business with the employees usually getting dumped on. But I needed the insurance for my business and going back pt in the grocery for just the bare minimum hours needed filled the bill. I made more money doing my own business in the other district further south. They didn't even pull this $hit in Delta. I don't know if its just because most of these hillbillies don't say anything and just take it up the a$$ when they do it without a sound. I do notice a large amount of handicapped and a good many walking around with a Forrest Gump mentality up here unlike the Delta Division. They also have more pt than Delta. Store I was at we had 10 FT and 2-PT got only 5 trucks aweek.Up here its the other way around with 9 trucks aweek. I gotta focus & push more on my business and get back to what Kroger was intended to be used for.Just insurance.

It's a big joke how PTs work more days but less hours then FTs. I need to work 6 days in order to get 40 hours. Yeah, bust out your availability sheet. I know it's a new store for you but it's the only why you'll get what you want.

You can stop the problem by pointing to a little sheet of paper that has your hours on it. It won't win you friends, but you said so yourself it's all about the insurance.

I'm easy to take advantage of because I'm all about Kroger. I care for my customers. But, they keep stepping on me and it's starting to piss me off. disbelief

If you ever and I mean ever let these people know that Kroger is all in your world and is all you know how to make money at, they WILL take advantage of it. I guarantee it. Thats why its best to have other things going on to bring in that income. I had a very sucessful lawn service and currently trying to re-establish it up in this new region. But the economy has killed it up here and I can't get the volume I had. Sure I know how to make money in other places,I'm pretty d#mn talented, but theres no insurance there.Hence, back to the grocery to get just enough hours to get it. But Kroger wants to phuck up every day with some peanut 4-5 hour shift which is just enough to throw a monkey wrench in the other jobs. And I can make more money at my other work than putting Fruity Pebbles on the shelf. Whats worse is they don't do this $hit in Delta Division. YOu let them know what days your other work is on and they'll schedule you 3 or 4 days and you'll end up with the same hours. Here they try to squeeze 5 days for not even 22.5 hours. I don't care where you go, thats phucked up and plain and simple abuse of PT. And they always throw the 'bulk" labor on the pt's so when they leave the ft's just cruise on to their 40 hours dickin' off. The news media needs to start slammin Kroger just as much as Walmart, they're equally the same.
