Please take into consideration that it is not just the UFCW but both them and the compoany.It is negotiated and if you have a bad negotiator then it will be bad. If you do not put enough money into the benefits to start with then benefits will be cut to make up the difference or short falls. The policy is mutually agreed upon by both parties and approved by the members. You cannot blame the union , on that but can on a bad deal of not negotiating enough money to cover increased on the insurance costs over the life of the contract. You have to decide if you want your benefits secure over more money per hour.
