NEVER MIND IT HAS BEEN RESOLVED!


Well this is something that has me really angry as I went through every length possible to avoid this, but apparently because the Head of HR not giving me a badge number etc... I will not be getting a paycheck.

I used to work for kroger as a cashier and sco attendant, I liked the job enough but I wanted a better paying job so I gave my 2 weeks notice after getting a job for $9 per hour. That job fell through a few days before training, something about not being needed. I was like ok and tried for 3 months to find another job, with no sucess I went back to kroger.

Mary the HR rep I dealt with was nice enough and said that I could start work immediately. The CSM Mimi put me on for 40 hours the next week and I ended up working 42.25 hours. During that week and the 2 days I worked the following week I had clocked in and out using the time correction book instead of the time clock do to not having a badge number yet.

Ok so its thursday and I am expecting to get payed for the 42 hours I worked the last week and respectively so since I was told that everything was taken care of and I would get a check and if they didnt have it that they would do a pay advance so I could get my money. When I go in at 11 am to get my check, its not there so I ask about pay advance and the Supervisor there said she would ask one of the managers. Since the head manger wasnt there we dealt with the co-manager, he didnt know either so he called our district manager and he was told that our store is no longer allowed to do pay advances regardless of the situation.

I left the store keeping my cool but once I got to my car I let loose my emotions. This is not right I worked my ass off for 42 hours and I am not getting it for ANOTHER week because the HR person only comes when called and I asked for her to be called but that never happened. To boot our SRS person is on vacation. What should I do, I have gone to great lengths to avoid this and it still happened? Please help

Have you asked your store manager for a pay advance? There are times when a check not there or something comes up and a store manager can issue a pay advance for the hours worked and then it will have to be paid back when your check gets there next week. Call your union rep and let them know you are missing a pay check and they may be able to help you. Have seen it done a few times over the years
