let's hear your story, how you ended up with this company. I'll go ahead and assume that everyone here began with intentions of having a "summer job" and nothing more than that. amidoinitrite?
Saw working c-stores for a few years and applied , at Kroger, for part time grocery clerk. Was hired 7 days before a new store opened and they had me clean meat cases. market manager decided he wanted a clean-up monkey ( as he called me) and been there ever since. Now I have a market to run and with the Key-Retailing crap, I am about to want to give it up and just go back to cutting meat. Been 20 years.
I'm was trying to finish school. I stopped attending due to financial issues. I have a few more credits left before I earn a BA in history. Hopefully, this spring is my time.
I love working at Kroger. It's a natural fit for my personality. I have plans on to continue with Kroger.
My car broke down forcing me to quit my previous job as it was on the other side of town. Filled out an application at the Kroger across the street. Got hired as a meat clerk 14 years later I am still here and am second in meat shop. Been offered my own shop but have had enough chances to run vacations to realize the extra 1.50/hr isn't worth the headaches.
