As of a few months ago, yes, Kroger was nearly $8B in debt.

doesn't surprise me. between hiring more and more "experts", and throwing money into re-models, on stores that don't need them.
and those kid carts with tv s in themevileye
so many employees could have used that money

yeah. we have three of them. look like cars, and they have a TV inside, and one outside, so momny and baby can watch thomas together.
makes me wanna gag.
oh we had all the money wasting things, like the motion sensors, in front of each register, that beeps, to let the casheir know someone is in line.
like they can't see
and the motion sensores on eack end of every freezer case, to cut lights on and off to "save power"
of coarse, we have time switches on every eletrical device, in every dept, so the cut off every freaking  hour, so you have to go cut them back on.

of what you listed there, all we have are the motion sensors in the frozen cases that turn the lights on and off to save power (plus they installed LEDs)  no telling what that cost the company but I'm sure it was way more than they would have spent on flourescent light bulbs over the next few years!

We used to have the sound effects in the produce that would thunder when the automatic sprayers came on,  now we don't have thunder or automatic sprayersashamed
