Managment sucks the big one!

I am just going to rant for a sec . . . Blow off some steam.

I love talking directly to executive managment. They hate it! They don't like it when somebody at a low level, such as myself, speak directly to them. It bruises their ego, you can tell. They think to themselves, "Who is this peasant, and how dare they talk to me directly. They should be talking through their boss if they want to address me!"

The other day, I asked this one big-wig idiot something and the look on his face was priceless. He was stunned. I asked him for some information for a project I was working on. He said he would e-mail that info. As it goes with these ego-maniacs, he didn't e-mail me directly, because he is too good. Instead, he e-mailed my boss the info, and my boss had to forward it to me.

These people are hilarious. Again, somebody needs to remind them that they do NOT cure cancer, despite the fact that they act like they do. They sell food. FOOD! Food is not hard to sell, AT ALL!

amen brother!  I tell people in my work unit that if I've done something that's not up to "their standards" to tell them to come talk to me directly, I have no problem telling them how it is.  Most of them didn't earn their job anyway, it's all about who you know.  And like you said, they are never ready for our questions and act like they've really been put on the spot, and the way I feel is,  somebody needs to do it and show them that they aren't as important as they think they are

If you don't like working for Kroger then leave. I'm sure that you are not much of an asset to the team. Kroger doesn't have a draft so you don't have to be there. There are plenty of individuals that want the opportunity to work; instead there are self-centered lowlifes like you standing in their way.

We have had many employee`s , over the years, bitch and complain about the evils of kroger and how they suck. Some of them all quit and went to Wal-Mart and have since tried to come back to Kroger and was not rehired. Some all Quit and went to work for Albertsons and Tom Thumb ( Safeway) only to find that they are not in any real shape to compete in this market area and expand.
I too have complained from time to time about kroger and all the changes that they have made over the decades I have been with them. But Then I make good money ( figuring in the benefit package) I have seen how  the competition treats its employee`s And I have seen big grocery chains go down hill. Kroger is still a leader and a pretty good place to work.  It could always be worse.

if you enjoy kroger so much and think you're such hot stuff why don't you just work yourself to death. Or better yet, think about all the people that don't really have much of a choice because they have no where else to go except the streets.

If you are the regular guy or gal, we're just people trying to make our living and improve our way of life by going to school, working a second (or even third) job to make ends meet and going through absolute hell just to get to our jobs.

And then, after going through hell at every turn, you come to Kroger, where you've got to deal with ****ty customers that think you owe them the world, overworked management that get crapped on by their superiors who in turn crap on their supervisors who then crap double on you.  You may (or may not) work your hardest because you may (or may not) care about your job and the people in it and eventually become so damn jaded that its almost impossible not to become bitter.

Get off your high, tempermental horse and swallow a bitter pill called 'reality'.

The sad truth is that everyone had to start somewhere. I think majority of management (and district hire ups)  have forgotten that.

I've begun to face the fact that kroger has just degraded into a bubble of untruths and falsehoods: people who don't follow through and 'pass the baton' too often!
