yeah, front end dept head is a cake walk. you walk around, tell people to do what they already are doing.In my stor, they usually can be found sitting upstairs, reading magazines
Always depends on store. In our store the front end manager has to do all the paperwork, the lottery sales.. balance the sheets, do all the schedule entry (into kronos) handle all the payroll.. etc.
Our front end manager also has to work at customer service or on a register every day. Or wear the red vest.
So it really depends on your store as to how much work you do.
My deli manager does less work than the front end manager, but then again she's quite lazy and makes other people do her work
