I have a tiny problem...help?

I was Hired at krogers and worked for about two days, on the second day I decided to quit because the two front end managers made a big deal about me wearing jeans when the employee hand book said I could wear them! the manager huffed and puffed on the phone telling me that I was on 90 day watch or something lol, but after going home I decided that I'm NOT taking the kinda' abuse anymore, it reminded me of my last job! I think I earned about 69$ or so, but they never told me my rate of pay, and never put me in the system or anything and the manager did'nt even care if I was in the building or not so there no one to prove if I came for my first day or not...so long story short no one has gave me a check yet...what should I do??? its been three or four weeks???(by the way I had no money to buy the pants they wanted so...) blankstare

The 90 days is probably your probation period. Some is 90 and some are 45 days. They do not have to have any reason to terminate you in that time frame. Can not speak for everyone in management but over all my years I have seem more managers than not , that would give a new employee some time ( unually there first check) to get the prober pants they need or even shoes.
On your pay issue? Start first with checking with the HR staff in your KMA and then follow up with the local Union.

Thanks! I'll try this.

Now that I remember they made me wear size 3x kroger pants over my jeans! I was so humiliated....Ahhhh. :(

Hey, I wanted to say thanx for the info grumpy! I braved up and saw my boss...and they gave it to me no problem...but I wonder what they would have did If I never came to get it...
