officially, there isn't any ruls against that i have ever heard of. but most management don't like itthey automatically think, they will be up to something, giving discounts, and stuff. plus, having family at a store makes it harder for them to stomp all over you. they may want you gone, but want sis to stay, so they have to be carefull not to drive sis off, by being totall ass to you. they HATED me and my wife working together,
it can be a catch 22 at times.....at the store where i work we have 4 sets of different families working in store...for the most part they all work different schedules...there has been no issues with 3 sets of the families, but 1 set which is drug/gm and scanrite then there is an issue..they have management totally on their side about everything..they can do whatever they want and get away with it....now that is where family working togehter should draw a line....the other sets of families dont have issues with anyone in the store so what does that tell you...when u walk in the door and punch the timeclock you are not related.....work that way...
Kroger is about family LOL you know your right! Well it starts at the top look into it. The only problem I have is then they work in the same department and one or both are department heads. I see this alot where if your mommy is a department manager and has thier kid get hired and well like within one a year they are promoted, just because moommy or daddy is a department head. This isnt fair for everyone else and NO one would like this to happen to them. However Kroger has been like this "Dont criticize someone until you walk a mile in thier shoes, so while we criticize you were a mile away and we have your shoes" get the picture here???
