Can not say for sure that you would. here is what I can say as far as the local and area I am in, local 540 Dallas area SWKMA. I am in the meat department and if you was to come here and come into my market, you would keep all you seniority as far as company time. Now you would go to the bottom of the seniority , shop wise, until the first of the year and then you would have it all back. That would go for me or anyone in our local. If we transfer to a different store, even across town and in our own district, we start at the bottom of the shop seniority until the first of the year. That is basically for PH and vacation reasoning's more than anything.
Have known of a few people that has transferred in from other areas and have one market manager that transferred in from the Virginia area. They have all kept there seniority, with the company but shop seniority started over until the first of the year.

yes you will lose your seniority because you are in a different zone than what you are now.  i don't think that that is fair but it must have been a man that came up with that idea. about losing your seniority.

i have 42 yrs with Krogers excellant work record but the last few yrs they have been trying everything to pin something or another on me. My ex manager told me they wanted me to retire! Hows that for a Kroger co that says they CARE about their employees!! Well they were watching me thru the plus card when I used a coupon I shouldnt but I got the ok from the office! No second chance, no write up even human resources lied to me! NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU IF YOU WRITE YOUR STATEMENT DOWN!! Then they turn their 2 faces around and suspend me. Isnt lying a sin also? Get out of Krogers before u get 42 years in especially if u live in Michigan!!! A younger employee just got his job back after he was found asleep in his car while punched in!! no
