One Company?!!

Why is it so difficult to find information regarding transfering to another division within this company?  Every division seems to be different.  I am trying to transfer from King Soopers (Colorado) to Kroger in another state.  However, I cannot get any information from the union, my secretary or any forum regarding pay, seniority or classification.  I have worked here for 20 years and do not want to go into a situation blindly.  Any information would be helpful.   I know the pay will be different but mainly I want to know if  I lose my seniority all together or just for the remainder of the year?

Kroger in Tennessee is Local 1995 and the union here in Colorado for King Soopers is Local 7.

Thank You

You loose your classification seniority but keep Kroger seniority. You low man on totum pole for scheduling weather your full time or part time; you keep your five weeks of vacation and accrued company benefits. Suggest you consider retiring through the union and re-apply or go to competition for meanigful career opportunitites...

Thank you so much. Sucks losing seniority when it is essentially the same company.

Better hope its not the Kroger in Columbia TN. I made that jump from Delta Div in Central MS after the COlumbis store they'd match the same schedule I had in MS. I was only pt and chose it for a reason, mainly because I didn't want to get stuck in that rut of the grocery store business after working for 20+ already and left it because all the BS that goes with mafia ran companies. Needless to say they renigged after almost 3 years and I quit the sorry ba$tards.Spent 5 years in Kroger PT and made a good hourly wage, better than new FT's. I'd never even consider working for the SOB's again, I have many other talents I can make a dollar on. Sad thing was the brothers and sisters in Madison MS. had they're $hit together better than these hillbilly rednecks up here. Now thats an imbarassment.
