Hi, I've been working for Kroger for a little over 4 months. I was hired as a cashier. I was a cashier for a week or so, then I was put into the Meat & Seafood Department and have been there ever since. (I now am starting to manage lunchmeat). My question is this: I started out making 7.35/hr. After reading on here, I see that you are supposed to get a 10cent raise when you go into a department. So was I supposed to get a 10cent raise for going into the meat department? Or is that just silly of me to think. ;) I guess I am just getting restless working an avg. of 38 hours a week (part time) and only making 7.35
depends on min wage in your state, you need to ask your union stwerard(ess) since contracts are different everywhere - there is no universal union contract for kroger
In the kroger I work at after 30 days with the company and you join the Union you get a 10 raise. You so need to ask you steward though that is what they are for :)
