no.sometimes they will do only a short, 3 day, but if it's a 'indefinite" they will keep you suspended, untill you finally quit. it's what they do, if they don't have enough hard evidense to fire you
go to the union, it probably will not help, but it then creates a record that might help if worse comes to worse, and I think you might be able to draw unemployment.
