Production not up to par
Permalink

I have been a cake decorator for 5 months. The sales in the bakery have increased by 20% according to management during that time.  I asked to cut my hours back to 3 days a week from 5.  Immediatley following this personal decision to cut back, I was told that my production wasn't up to par and put on slicing meat for 2 of my 3 shifts.  Can anyone please help me make sense of this?

Perhaps when you requested that hours be reduced, the management team found a replacement for your work area who has more availability, which put your working in the deli department.

If that were the case it would make sense, however, they have no one else who wants the position.  Mytwo day per week replacement was someone who had transferred to another department because of working conditions.
