In our City market store members of management have been getting away with stuff for a long time. First a sexual harrasment just goes away because a dept manager wants to cover for someone and now an assistant deli chef (chef..now that's funny) transferred her shrink to the salad bar so it would look like she had NONE. There were several chelsea salads but only 3 actually made it to the salad bar and they were out of date. But hell, they just let it go. You CANNOT accidentally transfer that many items (and not all on the same day) it was obviously intentional. I've seen things going on with management that are unbelieveable...manhandling employees, discrimination, starting rumors (damaging ones) cursing employees, including allowing some people to get away with not doing their work or even paperwork and the person who reports anything to management is called a liar and never believed again.

Sorry,You had a hard day, I know some what you are writing about our deli head always ask what she should have in the dept and changes a few things inventory morning and bingo there goes shrink.I heard her ask mangement after he threw some numbers at her and she scanned a few things more.I really dont know what is going on but there is always a few chosen.
In my long stay with kroger, i watched management get away with threatining employess on the sales floor, drud usage, drug buying,sexual harrasment, racism, theft, covering for theft, covering for drug users, covering for illegals, altering people's hours they already worked. kroger hires some shaddy people, then tends to cover for them so not to look bad

here is some advise. go to careerbuilder.com and type in your city. look for a new job and go apply. then you will see the same crap going on there too.

Oh, I have thick skin, problem is it's white so I would never be able to get away with this sort of thing. But just turn and run to somewhere else or let it go???!!!!
