All management does is look the other way..Its so sad They can get away with everything ..Well i dont care if they are management if we have to follow the rules so do they. Sounds like you are working at a store where the manager doesn't have a backbone.

We have one of those in this area.  One of the stories I heard involved a customer asking the department head where something was and the response was "It's in the same place it's always been, you dumbass".  The manager did nothing.  This department head was basically doing the same thing you described with the coffee and it wasn't until the store got a new co-manager that made his life so miserable there that he finally bid into another store to get out.

Its okay to drink coffee, if your doing work.  I drink it while I work, Sure I stop here and there, which is like maybe 5-20 seconds at a time, to take a sip and drink it when it cools, but then after I put it down and go back to doing what I am doing, and it doesn't keep me from doing my job.  It helps too, and acts as an incentive.  I do this becuase I work at night, Most of the time I get plenty of sleep, but I still drink coffee.  If i worked during the day I would not, primarly because your not supposed to in front of customers.  I have worked during the day, and did not drink anything in front of the customers.  There are some people that do that though during the day, not many.  I don;t think the customers give a ****, i woudn't
