What is this job? I have wonder for some time and cant seem to get a answer that makes sence. She sits on her butt all day checking company Emails over and over.Files bills that have been ran through the backdoor and thur passes out the checks. what am I missing? If we are backed up upfront she wont even come down. I am amazed how she acts like her job is so important and always lets use all know that she is mangement but mangement of what? Her 4 people in her family that she hired with more pay than other people doing the same job? Barb is thorn in my side for we all want her pay for a made up job.
Some zones have eliminated this position because of the friends and family hiring by these lazy ass people. Give it time. The people that got these positons are usually the biggest brown nosers on earth.
Their jobs are exactly that: give our checks and fiddle with corporate tape. They are basically the go between for corporate/employee to management. Also, I don't know if it would correctly be considered "management", but if i recall correctly, they aren't under union.

your right! The HR at my store knows nothing about the union or much less about Kroger. I asked about a phone number for 401K and she had no ideal. We all laugh in store for we make up stuff for we know she runs and tells mangement.

You raise an interesting point. Where I work, H.R. are hourly as well, therefor, not salaried management. With Kroger, if you are company you are union; salaried, non union. Sounds like your H.R. people are some where between exempt and non exempt status which, frankly, makes no sense.
Unless we look at the b.s. beaurocracy behind these kinds of deals, which exists in every part of Corporate America.
HAHAHA....That's what this country should be called now, The United Corporations of America!
Yea our HR guy is a true piece of work. I am not sure what he does. I do know that he clocks in like we all do. Al he ever does is print up reports and passes out paychecks. He isnt in the store all week so i presume he is at corporate office doing crap. Who knows. I love how he sits in as a managerial witness when anyone is called up to the doghouse for disciplinary reasons.
