They do it that way on purpose.  They know most employees aren't going to take the time to enter their points in at work.  That way they won't have to give away as many rewards.

In some regions we have R.A.C.E cards they stand for Recognizing Associates Customer Engagement. Managment at all levels hands them out to people they see going above and beyond. Each card had a unique code, once a person enter a code they are entered into a drawing. A drawing is held each period and there are ten winners. Those winners earn points. Points can be redeemed for cool prizes.

Recently, there has been major changes to the program. Once there was an unlimited amount of cards, now each store receives ten. We can now get gift cards at the store level with our points. We do have more opportunities to earn points by getting positive mystery shops, receipt tracker scores etc. They are also rewarding people if they complete a training video each quarter.

So basically it's just a gimmick to make people work harder for the chance at "COOL STUFF!", got it. haha.

A paid trip to Hawaii is pretty ****ing cool man. Airfare and hotel for two. Hell yes.

...and you have to pay gift tax on every single thing you earn or buy with your points, so beware!
