you shop at kroger ?

courious to know, how many shop at kroger.

i used too, for most of my time there. the last two years i was there, i cut back, to just the occasional candy bad, or drink, because i was seeing just how badly the company treated it's people.

now, i will not go there for any reason, even thou i pass two, to get to walmart. i used to pass 4 krogers, before i got to work, yet they never would let me transfer closer to homeevileye.

not only did they loose my buisness, but my entire family. mom, dad, siter, brother, all take their money smewhere else. just goes to show  how stupid kroger is. everyone they fire, i'm sure shops somewhere else. eventually, that adds up, but they can't see that.

what is the old line they fed us ? one mad customer tells 10 of their friends / well what do you think a mad employee does ?

Yeah, I do.

It's quicker and fuel is crazy expensive so saving there means more money in my pocket even if walmart would be cheaper. At the end of the day me having more money in my pocket is better than some personal grudge i have against some store.

For some, it's about personal ethics----which doesn't have a price tag.

A few years ago my brother took a cart pushing job at Walmart. He'd never done that kind of work before, didn't want to learn how, but he is a good solid worker who will bust his ass no matter what the job. He got hurt within no time and took workman's comp....Now, he coulda stayed home but chose to light duty it. Sure enough, right after the holiday season they sacked him.

That's been five years ago...and he hasn't shopped there since. He doesn't care about saving .40 cents on a can of soup. For him it's about principle.

well I just got back from a sunday morning shopping spree at my neighborhood kroger store.  it is not the same one i work at (no kroger couldn't put me 1 mile away from home but rather 20 minutes away LOL).

i tell you, kroger sells a bunch of crap products.  it is what is known as a conventional supermarket selling products adulterated with a lot of unhealthy, unnatural ingredience.  you wonder why you feel like crap each and every day you wake up?  it is because you shove your face full of items like dorito's, hostess ding dongs, coke cola, tombstone pizza then get a 8 pack of kroger fried chicken for supper!  i know alot of you might not have this option in your town but honestly i need to start concidering it more - Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Fresh Market and the likes.  Places like this sell natural wholesome foods & a lot more then they shove into the nature market aisles in your store.  cost a pretty penny more but sure beats the regret of feeling lik crap b/c of all the toxic poisons we've been swallowing over the years through conventional shopping.

I could get slung for saying comments like this and i know it is not a pretty topic but DAMN IT ITS TIME TO START EATING HEALTY!  (after i polish off the box of kroger doughnuts i just bought today smile)

I'm in a bit of the opposite boat.  The nearest Walmart to me is five minutes away, while the Kroger I work at is 20.  There are four Kroger stores in our area, all of them about the same distance.

The other option is Foodland but they are extremely expensive.  If I am off and need to pick something up and don't want to drive to Kroger, I stop at Walmart.  The bank that I also bank at is also located in Wally World, and I've been banking there since before I started at Kroger.

I've been doing my shopping at Walmart very late at night------2---3 am------for many years. There's a lot to be said about having only a hand full of other customers to deal with. Plus, the selection and quality have been better than Wally's competitors for a long time.

But in the last few months I've switched to shopping at Kroger. The closest Wally is 15 minutes from my home, while the nearest Kroger is but a few blocks away. But the main reason I now go there is, in the past couple of years or so, Kroger has been stepping up to the Walmart challenge----I'm finding better selection, better quality and VERY competitive prices. PLUS, another big reason I stopped shopping Wally is, no matter what I need or when I go, what ever aisle I need to be in is COMPLETELY BLOCKED OFF by their over night cleaning crew!! And they're just standing around rappin their flaps, and NO, they will not get you an item from a shelf that you need.....GRRR! lol~~

So you are mad and refuse to shop because they wouldn't "put you" closer to home?!

You accepted the position at the location they offered.  That's YOUR fault.

I hate the Kroger. I quit them after almost 5 years. I will not spend a dime in the store I worked at because I refuse to contribute to that Grocery Mgr or Store Managers pocket anymore. I'll go to the other Kroger they're always in competition with and looks much nicer.

But the ONLY thing I'll buy is the SALE items. I worked stock so I know whats a sale price and just a tagged item trying to fool someone. Advertised specials are good and some 10 for $10 frozen deals are good. But stray from the add or 10 for $10 and you'll spend much more. I get the rest at Walmart like staple foods.

STICK TO THE ADD!!!!Thats the secret
