Health Insurance Help
Permalink

I posted weeks ago that Kroger and the Union have took my health insurance away, and they have succeeded in doing so. My Union rep insist that they can't do this but hasn't offered any assistance. Ive been there 8 years working approx 32-34 hours a week. They moved me to status 1 full-time which brought to their attention that I do have limitations and cannot work certain hours on certain days. I do work as much as possible there and have even come in to cover call-offs over the years. I myself have only called off twice in 8 years. I am escalating my persuance of this cause just screams wrong to me. How can I reach fulltime status 1 then be bumped back to lowest status just like that. They're are not even offering part-time insurance. I'm so pissed. Please any feed back from anyone else who has incountered this issue. I've been kinda rude and hostile with my Union rep and maybe thats why she isn't helping. Help

The main problem I have with national health care is the disparity between what it costs to graduate med school, and what the doctors will receive in payments from this plan. It costs over a HALF A MILLION for 10--12 years of med school (and that's just to be a family doc)....and roughly 30 K per year for malpractice insurance!

Now, the average yearly wage for a doctor on this plan will plummet to between 40---60 k/yr. ~~WHAT THE HELL IS THE INCENTIVE IN THAT??
