I work in a Kroger in Indiana and the always play the same songs over and over. But theres one song they only play on occasion and it sounds like hes saying come on come on or something like that, im not 100 percent positive. i was wanting to know who does it,i know its not the counting crows song or the von bondies, but it is pop rockish kind of sounds like better than ezra

If you can pick up some of the lyrics next time you hear it, I would go to YouTube and try putting them in on the search bar. I've had pretty good luck that way~

The only song I can think of is Stranglehold by Ted Nugent but unless your manager has it set to classic rock I doubt thats the case.

If you have a cell phone with the Shazam app you could record it and it would tell you.

accidentially in love is by the counting crows. great tune by a great band.

"come on, come on - turn a little faster. come on, come on - the worl will follow after. come on, come on - 'cause everybody's after love"

"come o, come on - spin a little tighter. come on, come on - and the world's a little brighter. come on, come on - just get yourself inside her. Love ... I'm in love"

Doesnt it amaze you how some songs with graphic lyrics all the sudden play on that thing LOL. gotta love kroger. I'm a big music buff and try to listen to the good stuff on musack just to make my day a little bit better. All the sudden I hear stuff like this or the Grateful Dead play and I just laugh as some ol' blue haired lady faints two aisles away

speaking of songs, they play this great one by the band toad and the wet sprocket. does anyone know of that band and the song they play by them? i am not going to tell you the song right now but listen for it. then look up the tune if you need to and see what the song it about. its kindof hillarious to sorta know the inside scoop of the meaning to it and then know its being broadcast over the kroger airwaves.... its not 'dirty' or nothing like that - just has a very strong message

ps - if you are wondering why i am doing a post at 3:35 am in the morning...  strong thunder and lightning storms coming through cincinnati right now;  scared 10 year son, dog and cat sleeping in dad's bed; son decided good idea to break his leg during weekend past & deal with a cast up to his butt for the next 8 weeks! aint life great?  hell yea it is  LOL headbang.gif

Search for the "Music at your store?" thread on this board from last year...Much of what they play over the loudspeakers is probably listed on there...

Coincidentally, there's a Matt Nathanson song I hear a lot called "Come on get higher", but that may not be the same one you're looking for...

They should play "Closing time" at like 11:50pm so like right after it we can make the closing announcements. It would be funny as hell imo.

Play "Closing Time", and then play that Jack Johnson song "I'm always waiting...waiting for you" for the last stragglers still left in the store. And then, maybe they could play "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah" or "It's a beautiful morning" by The Rascals when they open up in the morning, followed by "LET'S GO KROGERING". It'll never happen, but it would be quite amusing...
