my area has been experiencing major rainfall over the last week or so and the floodwaters appeared as though they might make their way into our store (wish they would honestly, I'd go find a better job).  Well you'd think that this would be something that would cry out for support but NOPE not in my FKN division.  The brains have come in and gotten in the way while we try to prepare for the worst, they're not really being any help or motivation to us, nope.  They've come in and treated us like children who have no clue what we're doing.  Bitchin and moaning about this and that (things that have nothing to do with the flood)  WELL dammit I hope a tornado hits someone else's store so they will leave us the hell alone.  I'm sick of it.  We've had enough of corporate in our store over the last week that they shouldn't have to come back for the rest of the year.  tl:dr:  hope that your store isn't threatened by weather, you could be in for a load of bull**** that we're getting.

At a store I use to work at, the manager got mad at people who called in during a flood. Nevermind that most of them lived in areas that had washed out roads and bridges,  he was more worried about impressing the govenor who was coming to tour the area!

Some of best experiences at Kroger happened during natural disasters. Our customers were so thankful. Everyone was happy to be alive and safe. There was just positive vibes all around.

I remember when the mid west had that blizzard back in 1998/99.....Man, Kroger looked like one of those end of the world disaster movies. EVERYTHING was wiped out; the only meat left was crap like head cheese and pig knuckles! The trucks couldn't get in for FOUR DAYS~

what store do you work at because everytime something out of the ordinary happens at my store, people run around acting like children and doing things that don't make sense.  Our zone manager in her infinite wisdom came in during our disaster and was more worried about "clearing out that corner of the back room" than dealing with the actual problem at hand
