Today in the MidSouth we recieved our "Bonus check''. This is money that was owed to us as backpay.....SO HOW IS THAT A BONUS? It would be a "BONUS" if they gave it on top of the back pay. The UFCW really does a great job with our contract....mail out ballots after its too late to vote, tell us this is the best Kroger is gonna do....and I get the feeling 887 just said: "OK"........Lets settle. Bonus checks are taxed heavily....so yeah lets screw them everyway we can. Kroger SUCKS.... Yeah I know....Quit then...BLAH BLAH BLAH...I'm done ....Sorry for wastin bandwidth
I am a shop steward. However that said, I have been more and more upset at how the union is and does try to just make kroger happy. They work for US. WE should be the ones happy.
But my shop whatever the hell she is said, and I quote, "we have to work together, kroger and the union to make sure everyone gets what they want"
Newsflash... won't ever happen.. so what your saying is.. lets settle for what we can get and keep taking your money every week.
Everyone who got their check today said the same thing "WTF?" i know one thing for sure, my union rep will be receiving several phone calls asking WHY HE DIDN'T TELL US THIS! also I can guarantee several more NO votes next contract. i'm sick of this ****
