nono, My store is currently one of the ones doing the PAL which is a self scan with a handheld device, that's what we'll have to compete with everyone else imo.

Kroger just needs to update Uscans technology every time and again. When it rejects your money and coins its fustrating. Plus you have to deal with it saying "are you using your own bags" when your putting your money in. Also if your buying koolaid its a nightmear, because it beggs you to place the item in the bagging area but the package of koolaid is to light for the dumb machine to know. But when you work there you get used to its 10 year out of date personality.

i don't understand how companys think that they want us to have interaction with dumb cashiers.  who the hell wants to strike up a conversation with a walmart, target or for that matter a kroger cashier?  i rather have root canal!

i love how companies do things for them and not think about what the customer wants.

My biggest pet peeve is when I scan an item and it says, "Please wait for customer assistance."  I don't need customer assistance.  It wouldn't be so bad if it were something like a plant or some oversized item but it's usually something like a box of cereal or a 2 liter soft drink.

I especially like it when I'm buying my newspaper and the cashier picks it up and starts reading aloud the head lines. I used to be polite; now I'm like "hey, I don't need you to read it, I need you to SELL it to me..."
