Reverse discrimination is alive and well! I am one of 4 FES at my store...I am the only white one. Everyday my CSM shows me how racist she actually is..I get treated so bad in this manner CUSTOMERS have started making comments to me about it. How the hell can a big company like this allow this kind of thing to continue to happen? I am a hard worker, get the job done kinda gal and yet I get no recognition, games are being played, I get no info about new things needing to be done so Im the only one not doing it, I get the least amount if cashiers on the busiest shift, which happens to be mine...these are just the top scrapings of everyday occurances I have to deal with besides doing my job, retaining my professionalism AND being customer focused at all times! Just isnt right!
The union could help with this situation. Just tell them that you believe that you are being treated unfairly by your customer service manager, and maybe have some documentation of what is going on. If not, maybe you can talk to your store manager about the situation.
I see it in my work place all the time. We all do. It has become the Great White Elephant in the room (no pun intended).....Everybody knows racism exists; it is not only alive and well, but actually thriving and growing bigger like a pulsating canker sore on the arse of society.
File a complaint? I don't think even the union would be of much help---too much beurocracy. NAACP and Rainbow Coalition preach enough paper work to blind CAPITAL HILL with the rhetoric of 'four hundred years of white oppression' and 'it is IMPOSSIBLE for minorities in this country to be racist'----I personally have witnessed some of this.
Complain to the store manager? Same results....only with a possibly harsher twist. I've seen people get fired for trying this ploy.-------Oh, not for THAAAT ("Well, Ted, we've noticed a marked lack of productivity from you, and we hate to do this, but...") . . . , of course.
So, what is the answer? I'm not claiming I have one, but....how about trying to talk with this person, one to one? If you can, arrange a witness. Document everything. Keep it professional and civil. Tell us the outcome, whatever course you choose.

Unfortunately this person is the worst kind of person..claiming it to be a personality defect. This is a classic case of Eddie Haskel Syndrome...you know act one way while the boss is around and then as soon as the boss has left you get the real her, but then again I have seen her tell the store mgr that he isn't HER boss. And here's the kicker of it all. I HAVE called the union I HAVE talked with my store mgr on several occasions I HAVE filed a coporate grievance...have gotten absolutely nothing in response except for the union supervisor telling me there are NUMEROUS complaints that have been and being made about this person...and still she retains her position. To top it all off...she has started to mold the other 2 to act JUST LIKE HER!!

seen so many minotries keep their jobs for out right theft, or violence, simply because they can cry racisim, and nobody wants that headache.
what really is sad, is when there is real discrimination, against a minority, they can't get help. seen a lesbion ran out, solely because she was gay, she got no help. same for a black lady. union turned their head.
i almost got fired about 6 months back b/c i accidently called this one person another 'hispanic' name rather than his correct name. i didn't work in his department so i didn't have the need/desire to memorize it. stupid ass of a store manager told me that HR was going to let me go w/o even hearing my side of the situation if it wasn't for the dude i misnamed not wanting for that. my jaw dropped to the damn floor and is still there to today over it! i couldn't belive the whole absurdity of it!
make a blunder -> get let go. || do 1000 great things -> get no concideration at all

where I work there r two supervisors that are Black no other supervisors on my shift in my unit i work with all black workers. The one unit supervisor continuously states if they were black that wouldnt happen ie refering to some of the patient s The Unit supervisor has even stated in front of several white Patients that You just want that because the other patient is black. Ie moved from a room That patient from my stand point was white and not racist. The unit supervisor is biased. She doesnt do much says about what ever she wants. I will not tell administration because ifear retaliation. Administration is hardly ever on the unit. Administration the top 3 are white. Hr is white and there has been many complaints against one of the PA's. She is a Bully and gets away with it because she is Black she plays the race card. Im a good worker. I feel I have to tend to the black patients More because of all the unit supervisors complaints about this. So unfortunately I give the Black patients more attention. Im not racist of course but my white patient have left the facility because of unfair treatment.
