Manager let me go full time today i got my 12 consecutive 40+ hour check, so will next weeks check reflect the full time raise, or will i have to wait a couple weeks? Do i need to do anything or does the system do it itself?
You will continue getting raises as normal per your union contract. Where I am ours are every six month till you hit top pay then it is once a year. I did not receive a raise when I went full time.
It really depends on what you are making when you get the promotion.
If you are topped out at part time, you will get a raise when you hit full time, after six months, then after another six months, probably top out as full time. If you are not topped out as part time, you will continue to gain raises every 6 months till you are topped out at full time.
Of course, different contracts could do it differently. But it all takes care of itself if the manager puts it in right away.
Be sure you do not let your co workers know that you got full time. If there is someone with more seniority than you, they could potentially take it from you. Keep it hush hush for a few months at least.
Your union rep or steward can explain this further for you
Ive been there two years and make a quarter over minimum wage it sucks bad. So basically theres a chance i wouldnt really get a raise just for going full time? Full time would just allow me to make a higher ammount?
Motino, are you a bagger? If so, Then if your contract is anything like ours, Baggers do not get pay raises. You get to make just over minimum and thats it. You need to go into a real department in order to get better pay.
Im in g/m. Im the backup drug manager. Ive been with kroger for total over 2 years znd back there for over a year. I make 7.75(Big flippin $0.15 raise said it started 12 weeks ago but didnt show until yesterday after going full time. Its pathetic. Another nickle in 6 months.. What a shame.
