No Men's Uniforms?!

I've been working here for a while and since I was hired, all they've had are like XXL mens and womens shirts for employees. I've asked many times, and all I get is an "Oh! We'll get right on that!" It's been over 2 months now. I'm tired of wearing a girls shirt. I would've even bought one online myself, but I think they place they get them from only sells wholesale. So every new male employee is wearing a girls shirt. Awesome.

just go to work one day wearing a nice button down shirt instead of the girls shirt.  when they ask you whats going on  - tell them whats going one.  maybe then they will get the point and go order some uniforms!

or you could go to another store in your area and get some there

Girl's shirts have a significantly deeper neckline. Had I not been wearing an undershirt, there would be a lot of chest hair action going on.

Ask where they buy the shirts from, and then call them and ask if you can just buy one shirt. Kroger should supply you what you need though. Find out who's actually in charge of doing the ordering and then speak directly to that person about ordering a shirt for you.

Just got hired by Kroger and same story no ****s but 4X and 5X

Since an out of stock uniform situation is an indication of high employee turnover, plus their enthusiasum to hire me even after I insisted on full-time pay grade, makes me wonder what I got myself into.

OTOH the shirts are cheap (I've worked in other grocery stores before) and do wear out very fast, add on that with Kroger only one shirt is free and most people won't shell out the additional $8 per shirt charge.

I think that Kroger should do what some of the big boxes do and just designate a flag color (ie. royal blue) and make the employees responsible for their own shirts, they could then just order non-embroidered shirts for less than the embroidered and give the employee their first two shirts and then it's the employees responsiblity. Additionally the money saved from not having to order company embroidery and from not having to constantly replenish can go to the employees check and raise employee morale.
