Koger sucks , cause they are all about the company and not the emplyee that make that company or could break it if they wanted. A friend was given a coupon and went and used it as a customer, not on the clock. they scanned the coupon and accepted it. There was others that used them also and they all went thru. another employee on her own time used one. Later it seems the couplons were not of acceptablity . but since they knew that my friend and another employee who was not working at the time,and the diff cashiers that was running the regristers were all fired. in the end they brought back the cashier people with pentlies ( how would they know, it was scanned and the system accepted it. but my friend and the other who had much more time was not brought back. but told either take what retirement you got or be fired and lose it. unreal. I no longer shop there. it was bad enought when they changed names to break the union years ago and then yrs later came back as koger. this company is so anti-american.

Your friend is an idiot for trying to use a coupon. Kroger emphasis deeply not to use coupons.

theyn did the EXACT same thing to my wife, to fire her, it's a set up, where the casher uses the coupon in a way it's not suppossed to be ( with my wife, they double scanned it) they they claim the employee with the coupn , committed coupon fraud, even thou THEY diddn't SCAN the coupon. they always act like they punish the casher.they will get compensated

do NOT bother to go to the union,they will do nothing about this, they are a pary to it.  we went through all that farce

 straight up,they need to get a lawyer,

and using a coupon does not make someone a idiot. it's not stupid to expect honesty from a company. it's the company at fault, not the employee

It is best thou, to never shop where you work. prevents endless chances for set ups

We have a right to use a coupon just like a customer does. If the cashier scanned the coupon, it's not up to the other employee to point out the mistake. It is the cashier's mistake, and that's who should get punished for it (or talked to about it if it was an honest mistake). On the other hand, if they are doing it deliberately and together, than both should be punished.
