For some reason we have a huge issue with sweeps! I hear that other stores do not, is that true?
I am a CSM! I have been written up about 8 times now for this issue! Courtesy Clerks up until yesterday have not been written up for them missing the sweeps! My 2nd asst. tells the csm's that its our job so thats why we get the write up and they dont? Yesterday I took it a step further and spoke to the SD and thats when the CC's finally got their write up!
On top of that I was told that the next time will be a suspension for me! Can they suspend a CSM for missed sweeps?
Are you all kidding me? you know you take a broom and go through the store and sweep! we have them go thru produce, bakery meat dept. and then through the aisles and the front of the store. Then the courtesy clerks have to punch a sweep on the time clock to show that they performed the task. THIS HAS TO BE DONE EVERY HALF-HOUR! YOU MISS ONE FOR THE DAY UR SCREWED! THEY EXPECT A 95% OR BETTER FOR THE WEEK!
Nothing like that at my store. They tried to get clerks to check the aisles once in a while but we are so busy that no one has time. Produce, Dairy, and grocery are responsible for cleaning up messes they find in their isles. After 3:30 it's report and clean.
We just need to put up an "Enter at your own risk" sign and be done with this whole slip and fall crap.

Well with the Utility person being the only one to do the clean ups it is impossibe to sweep the store every half hour. It takes 45 minutes to sweep the store I work at. So most of the time it gets done once in the morning and once in the afternoon. I was told to just walk and look down the asle while getting trash. You will read in one of my other post the bag boys at my store only bag and they do not clean up. We the the time clock with the F1 ETC and the finger print but we do not do anythin g on it for sweeps.
