I would like to rant on this cashier preformance bull****. they have started. I dont think its far they get paid to their job. Corporate needs to wake up and smell the coffee.
What are you complaining about? Cashiers getting a $5 or so gift card if they get over 95% each week? Don't worry If enough people start getting over 95% they will stop giving them out. More than 3 people started consistently getting over 95%. Management flipped ****.

Would you like fries with th... I mean, your milk in a bag?
No ****. Fry's just had the new inventory/ordering system implemented (it's apparently been around other Kroger stores for a while), and it botched my order so badly that in a three day stretch I had to stock 1200 cases. In the last week, I've had one load under 300 cases, and several over 400. My backstock went from <10 cases on my two carts to completely full all the time even when I somehow find time to work them every night, and even though the numbers are right on all my stock.
One of the daytime assistant managers rewarded me for busting my ass on a six day work week by...giving me two fry bucks. It could be worse. When I got named Stocker of the Month (or Period, whatever), I learned there wasn't actually any reward involved with the title, it was just a glorified gold star.
So, yeah, some may bitch about a $5 gift card, but I'd kill for even a $5 gift card every week I managed to average over 100 cases per hour (which is every week...).
our district used to have this.. if you got 95% or higher you got into a drawing and got a 25 dol. gift card. pretty neat, but they ended it because the district didnt see enough performance increase
