Can't get a straight answer from HR or mgmt
Permalink

I've been with Kroger for 3 years since July, and hit full time about 3-4 months ago. I've been told by several other employees that I should have recieved a second vacation on my 3rd anniversary, but I haven't and HR can't even tell me (she's a nut). They were renegotiating the union contract not too long ago, so that might have something to do with it (I'm not in the union, though). Is there some standard time frame for when Kroger starts giving you more vacations, or is that entirely dependent on region/zone/division? Zone K, South Carolina if it matters.

yes u get a second week of vacation when you hit your third year aniversary. now ind you - you might not get a full 40 hours. it will be an average of the time you work for a week over the year. don't you have access to Express HR? you can sinply look there to see how many hours of vacation time you have. it is that simple.

Thanks, I'm familiar with express hr and how vacation hours are figured : )

The problem is that even 4+ months after my 3 year anniversary, I still don't have the vacation.

Part time. I still need to take a look at the contract. When I asked my HR rep, she had to call corporate and still could only say "it's coming soon" and that the issue had to do with me going full time.

Good luck, I get so many answers from different people who are sopose to be in charge and they are sooooo different.

Right now we have a lady who is cutting fruit who was a lead floral for years and good at it but she makes more cutting fruit.

The guy who gave 2 weeks notice and came back after 6 months and got a nice raise because he had experience.

Many things are so wrong about the company but I am content for I do have a job and can slide by every week paying my bills.

It is 1 week after a year, then you get another week after 2 years that is given to you starting in Jan. You see , after the first week, it goes to yearly which starts in Jan. So, after 3 years, you get the 2 week vacation starting in Jan. The new contract books are out now here in the Southwest. it is clear there.
