if he doesn't show and doesn't call in, does he get written up? =)

I'm gonna assume that like my store, when the higher ups deem it necessary to mingle with the little people, the management goes nuts.  Every dept head ends up getting overtime and the thirds shift stock crew normally stays over too. They call this the "blitz". Everything gets done and key retailed.

With all that OT thrown around, what happens when the lords decide to pass us over without even a phone call?

If I NCNS, I get suspended and written up. I certainly didnt cost the company thousands of dollars.

But that son of bitch did.

Personally, I wish he would show up unannounced so he could see what the store really looks like on a day to day basis.

I have with Anonymous just once I would love for them to show up unannounced... Because when they give a month notice they are coming... The store going to be in dang near perfect condition .....

If they come unannounced they will have to go to different stores on different days.  As soon as he leaves one store, they call ahead to the other ones in the area.

pretty sure the reason they announce visits is so that stores do rush and get everything cleaned up and up to standard and whatnot. it's not that they want to see how the stores actually run but to get them to tighten up in case they aren't doing things to standard on a regular basis (lol right)

Kroger has hundreds of "presidents" it seems, so even though it's an event they'll want the store perfect for, it's not something that won't happen every few months.

My Mistake, it was the president of the Atlanta Division, not the company

yeah, bruce is over the atlanta area, althou he likes to say, and act like he's the company prez.

I use to laugh at management running around like idiots, when they heard the prez was coming, and 75% of the time, he never showed up.

I met bruce once.

wasn't impressed.

looked like the kindda guy i beat up in school, for actingg like a jerck because his parents were rich.

he has a big pinky ring, i remember, and two big guys in suits with him
