My mother is on hospice and my sister took a position at Kroeger being told she would be making a significant increase to her current position at anohter company. She took the position and was never told what her expectations were. Two months in a day before her BDay the manager called her in to tell her she wasn't doing her position. She said she was never told what her expectations where. They then told her one duty that she concentrated on. She worked XMas eve missing my mothers last holiday eve and her manager called her in to say she "wasn't cutting it" and they were demoting her (over a $10K annual) paycut. My mother has been crying since then.
Thank you to all in management for your professionalism. I'm in HR and am considering guiding her to sue. I've never seen such a heartless practice in over 20 years in HR. She is probably not coming back as now my mother is so bad she needs to go to the hospital. Thanks for not just ruining an associate's holiday, but also a family having a rough time.
All I can say is I will be telling all 750 associates of mine not to shop at Kroeger.
I don't work for Kroger so I apologize about the spelling, but the way they handled the situation doesn't change the fact that they don't care about people!
I guess it makes me a bad person, but the sentiment of the story is degraded to nothing having such horrible, horrible grammar and spelling. Seriously. How do you have a HR position anywhere with a total lack of written English skills. I'm a friggin' cashier and I know better than that. At lease use spell check. Jeesh.
