Now Kroger is running scare tactic commercials directed at senior citizens to get them to buy Shingles vaccinations on the advice of a grocery store Pharmacist whose salary is being subsidized by Merck. No mention of consulting with a doctor. Yeah they really give a Rats Ass about our health.
God, I am so glad I don't have to hear that **** anymore. Or the ****ty music they play. Granted we're set on oldies of the 50's and 60's where I'm at now, it's still better. And no one to drive me nuts about checking the f_cking neck!

OH **** I hate that goddamned advertisement so much. It's worse when you don't work on the front end because with the monotonous beeping of items being scanned in the distance, what comes through the speaker is so much clearer unfortunately. D:
My neighbor has shingles, OH FUUUUCK AM I AT RISK?!

Only if you haven't had or been vaccinated for chicken pox. The virus that causes shingles is the same virus that causes chicken pox. You can't catch shingles from somebody. However, if you've never had chicken pox or been vaccinated for it you can catch chicken pox from someone who has shingles. If you've had chicken pox, the virus remains in your body and can re-emerge as shingles if you have a weakened immune system caused by ageing or disease.
