First how long does the manager have to give you a write for making an honest mistake with money? Then why is it everyone knows about it and you have yet to be given the write up? When you have worked for them for over 6 years and never made a cash mistake!!

I don't think it's written in stone, but i think they have to do something within 24 hours, or they look bad.

i do know they wait more then a few days, the union jumps on it, as a false accusation because a legit situation would get faster attention

sadly, kroger doean't care if its a mistake, I was terminated for missing a initial on a log, after 12 years with the company.

simple errors are how the clear out people

:fuious: Kroger does not rule the world there is so much bulls_ _ _ going on. They show more respect for druggies, employees stealing time, talking on phones, disrespecting great customers simply due to the fact the employee has a big fat mouth! I say ENOUGH would you tell your child just ignore someone who is molesting them hitting , cussing , trying to get them to do drugs??? GET SOME BACKBONE!!!!!

I remember correctly the time frame is three days, but I believe that may include anytime off in those three days. Also, if it was a department head that said it, they cannot write you up, they must get an actual manager to do it. And if they do, they must call you upstairs and have a meeting and have you sign it. If they try to put it in your folder without your signature, it means nothings, cause you never signed it. You can always go back and say you never knew anything about it. Oh, and if they call you upstairs for the meeting, say that you want your union rep involved for it.

I always recommend the union rep and not the steward. Even if this individual is a friend or trusted co-worker.  I had to be a "witness" for a write up a while back and I flat out told the clerk in front of the manager they are entitled to union representation and not just a "witness"

I was written up once and refused to sign the paper.  The manager put in comments "Refuses to sign"

in my union, if some one writes you up, it can take a while before you get it, i know it bounce around and some times a SRI write up are over looked some times, but if it is something serious they have three days to give it to you, if it pass them days then they can not give it to you..
