We are, they steal one of our people from up front around 1 and they wander around the store with a gun scaning the holes. The only thing is, because the departments know its coming, and especially if the truck isn't there yet, they'll fill the empty spots with a similar item just so there's not a hole. I understand why they do it, its not their fault if the truck is late, and now with the super trucks that come almost everyday, you don't order anywhere near as much, but still, if someone grabs one of those items cause it was in the wrong spot, the front end has to deal with it, cause we all know customers can't read. Anyways, I think its just one more practice that's a waste of time and people.
Yep, we've been on Key retailing wave 5 since September/October I think. Store manager asks why I'm not hitting my out of stock goal...uhm because you grabbed the only other employee working with me at the time to do the scan and for 1+1 queuing every 20 minutes.
When the PrePrime Time Review was introduced Grocery Coordinators and other "Big Dogs" made clear that the Front End is to be doing these and not members of Grocery or other "Back of the Store" Departments, however this is a problem in my store also.
