how many hours do i need to work as a part time fuel clerk to get full time? i know its 12 weeks in a row..but how many hours 32 or 28? or is it an average of 32 of all weeks added to gether..i checked union book..didnt see anything..
Well at Kroger Mid Atlantic division you have to work 35 hours or more in 12 consecutive weeks.
If one week you only woork 34 hours then you have to start all over to try and get full time.
It's a common practice to let a part time employee work 35 hours or more and then the 11th or 12th week they drop there hours below 30 so that they dont gain full time status.
the lead fuel clerk told me you had to work 28 hours 12 weeks in a row. i have done that. The lead fuel clerk is constantly on medical leave or leaving work..she has come back severely over medicated. not able to function. i dont know what to do. front end told me 32 hours for 12 weeks.. management dont seem to care about her issues. with customer complaints and witnessing some of her antics. his response to me is "as long as no money is short its ok." i think he dont want to deal with her. i dont know who to turn to..help
In my division you have to work 40 hours per week for 10 of the 13 weeks all in the same Kroger quarter. The 10 weeks do not have to be consecutive, but they have to all be within the same quarter. I hired in on June 15 and attained full-time status on October 29
ok today i was told by my supervisor you add up all 12 weeks hours and then divide by 12. if you get 32 you get full time.. but will they make it hard on me cause they dont like fulltimers or can they move me to another apartment? what does union handbook say?

Every contract is different. Go to your union steward and ask for a copy of the contract book. Every employee is suppose to get one.
