at my store, nothing if you're black. That sounds kinda racist but we have two black guys that never call if they are going to be out and come back the next day with no reprecussions.
sadly our store has the same kind of problem of 'reverse racism'. we have an african american bully who has even threatened to kill someone (and it was on video) but somehow he has been protected by management and still has his job...even though other people have been let go for much less serious offenses.

It was the same at my store.balcks could do no wrong we had baggers selling boot leg DVDs to customers in the check out lane, nothing said
first time, you probably goin to get chewed out, maybe a write up, but i doubt fired.
second time, yeah, your probably done
i do know three no call no shows in a row counts as a quit
at our store mgt cant really do anything unless you miss 3 days as a no call no show then it is consider job abandonment and they are gone. if you miss one day nothing will be said, 2 days they will just talk to you. our mgt is fair though so we do not have much of an issue with this.
first one is a write up and the second one within a 6 month time span can be termination in this area. But in the market it is different. It is still 3 no calls / no shows in a 6 month period. But if it is not documented, in witting, then it is not anything.
