Ok, so I specifically wrote down on a schedule request form that I'm available until 9pm at the very latest because I have classes early the next morning. My Front End manager schedules me till 10. The bastard has done this for the past 3 weeks and I'm tired of this bull****!? Is this even legal?

there are no magical laws that cover retail or any other job for that matter. Your only protection is your union and sometimes even that is a joke.

No one ever listens at Kroger. The department heads give the excuse of "the computer makes the schedule, not me". Are you serious?! You have everyone's availability on file, but scheduling people is so hard? All I see here is laziness at its best, nothing more.

this used to happen to me, then I asked why it kept happening. turns out, the CSM or ACSM that makes the schedule has to remember EVERYONE'S availability. The computer program they use only tells them what days people have unavailable.. the csm has to remember the exact times for all the baggers/cashiers for each day. So if they mess it up, just remind them nicely. I'm sure they put up with a lot of crap just by making the schedule, and have a lot to remember to do, and on top of that remember the exact time each day every person is available. If you have a problem that can be easily fixed, just tell them, don't whine about it and do nothing.
