Can I run or eithe help run the uscan at the age of 17. Others at my store did and I know I cannot approve wine or any thing like that. My Csc says yes but the person who runs it 50 present of the time says no when I stay nights with her.
You can but it is really not allowed, your csc sounds like they do not care if something was to happen, just think, it gets busy, although you do not scan the beer you check their ID and you clear it, the detective sees that red badge and your done for, the fine is not worth it,
Im 17..(18 in 2 days.) But I've been running U-scan for months now.... I have even done the closing 5-1 shift this whole week where I am the only person in the store besides the night crew who stay in the back. I been closing fridays for like half a year now. But the usual weekday closer is on vacation and I've been doing it every night. Everyone who says you HAVE to be 18 or something will go wrong is dumb and ignorant. I live in Texas... Its legal here thats all I know. Idk where you are.
But i'm perfectly capable of doing everything on U-scan anyone else could ever do. Yes adults will always try to seem smarter and treat you like your dumb but thats cuz their pissy cuz kroger is their career and they know it wont be yours! I just silently laugh at them. Cuz i STILL do a better job than them. Lolololll.
I know in tennessee, a minor CANNOT sell alcohol to a customer, which means they would have to have a cashier of age scheduled along side them. Which is a waste of our already shrinking hours. Must be a state-by-state thing but it's a big deal here, as it's listed on the alcohol policy we have to sign every month.
