I have heard that frozen is the easiest department to work in. Is this true ? Can you work 3rd shift in frozen ? I would love to do that if possible but I thought grocery handled frozen foods also.
as far as i know frozen does not have a 3rd shift, grocery handles scheduling, as for it being the easiest.... meh. It's about the same as working day grocery only colder.

Would you like fries with th... I mean, your milk in a bag?
It's like stocking packaged meat or dairy, except there's no milk, eggs, or date checks. It's a breeze. The store I was layed off from had all of grocery except dairy stock over night. Nobody worked during the day which meant frozen vegetables and 88 cent frozen dinners would be wiped out mid/late afternoon and they'd call baggers to fill up ice, and any extra employees from w/e department to fill up vegetables and ****. In the nearly 4 years I was there, they didn't have one frozen manager that could keep the cooler less than jam ****ing packed. "Ok the frozen truck has been worked, I can probably walk into the freezer and find something for this customer. Nope, opened the door and can't take 2 ****ing steps in. I'll just stand here for 5 minutes and then tell the customer we are out and **** if I know when the next truck gets here".
I would say as long as you wear gloves and a hoodie, it's pretty easy. I don't know how it could be hard for anybody. You come in around 7am and start working the new pallets or carts, and then you check your holes for prime time. You really don't need more than one person working frozen for most of the day. To answer your question a little easier, it's the easiest department next to grocery.
