THE WAY KROGER TREATS THEIR EMPLOYEES IS SICK

I'm all in and will add some more to explain.
I have been working for Krogers well over 5 years.

Kroger is doing something to anger you and you reply "Kiss my ass" Good for you ! Don't kiss up to them, it will get you nothing.....
Kroger treats a employee badly when someone wants you to quit...They will not fire you no matter what they say. They just want you to think that.It is all a game to them so it will not cost them money.
Dept. managers will kiss up to them to keep their jobs....Better you then them..........
If you run to Union 75 then Kroger will find out everything...The Union works for themselfs and Kroger.... All the talk about working for us is BS. Everything the Union gets for us is only because Kroger
want us to think the Union is working for us. The money they have won, they will say shows the union is working. What they don't say is that was half of what they asked for !! It is a half for you and a half to them 50-50....

Kroger has people watching this forum to speak up for them and the Union.

Kiss My Ass Krogers

Yes Kroger is monitoring and recording this site so unless you want to make it way too easy for them to seperate you for violating the company loyalty policy  (one of the many read and sign documents that we all just signed and forgot about!) I'd highly recommend that you resist the urge to post your name and location or even register with your email.

We live in a democracy with free speech and liberties but that does not carry over into your job. When you hire on you're basically agreeing to adhere to any and all company policies and mandates. Many of us long term employees used to sing the praises of working for a growing, financially secure company that used to share the wealth with it's front line workers through decent raises and above average benefits. You'd be hard pressed to find any older, career employees that would feel positive or happy about the path the company has taken in recent years.

Those of you that have less than ten years service may be particularly upset because you are now aware that there is no real future for anyone needing guaranteed full time with decent wages, steady raises, and family benefits.

Kroger is not going to change their master plan to copycat "WALMART" where you know from day one that you are never going to make wages nor receive benefits that get you above poverty level or the lower class. The best master plan you can make for yourself if you're the main breadwinner for your family is to seek training and employment in another industry besides retail where you have a desired skill that will be a career with a future. Kroger will soon be what is considered  a secondary source of a family's income since they are implementing the 70% part time mandate.

So if you're a student, retiree, housewife, underachiever, or just a slacker with no motivation still sponging off your parents, then sure Kroger would be an okay job where you can pick up a few bucks every week  to support your wants but not your serious needs with limited to no health benefits.

As far as telling them to kiss your ass well you might as well be talking to a rock. In their big picture you are or were just a number to them and you quitting or getting separated means less than nothing to the upper mgmt. at the general office who are only concerned with profits and bottom line results that ensure their hefty bonuses and praise from the stockholders.

you know - I personally am getting sick of hearing this rhetoric without any backing.  Listen - this is just a silly Kroger Employee site to discuss various topics about our job.  It isn't some kind of 'underground movement' going on here.  No one has come to me and asked what I am up to.  Who the hell cares.  Stop trying to cause panic.  I think we all know what we are doing on here and can take care of ourselves without you coming around trying to wipe our asses for us.

I can tell you that D7 district manager and one person in the HR department knows of this site but also said they could care less about it or time to look ar it. Onlt pops up to them when you post thier name openly and they do a google search.

Got Krogertalk started and swkma knows of it and so does the unions. local 1000 and 540

get more grief from the unions and again Kroger and my supervisors do not care as long as it is not spanderous to the company and that is it.

sounds more like a disgruntled employee that has an axe to gring and not just with Kroger. May be a case where this anonymous poster needs to take a deep look at their own self and ability to do a job.

anyone that knows for a fact that their dm or local hr is watching their postings is either really being used or is an inside 2 legged rat. either way once u bed down with anyone from hr then ur on ur way out after they get done gettin all they can from u. before long u'll be out on that limb and ur "FRIENDS" from hr will be shaking the tree saying "SEE U LATER DUMMY!".

also spying on anyone on the internet while they're away from work is highly illegal and a violation of the wiretap law. but doesn't surprise me that they are doing it - once some glorified ex co-mgr gets a job in hr then the upper HR mgmt blows smoke up their ass and gives them a junior G Man badge  to get them to do dirty deeds. they really should change the depts name to internal affairs like the cops have since their main goal is to spy on and eliminate all that they can who don't bow down and praise KR blindly. a real hr dept would be one that actually helps employees and treats them with care rather than one that gets their jollies firing people. over my years I've seen way too many of my union brothers/sisters get terminated for very trivial events that a family oriented, christian principled company would have helped instead of gloating that they trashed another long term worker.

It's not really better on the other side~~I just wanted to be on here to see if I could get ideas or information on how to make my job or me, better, for me really, to help me...I am glad people can vent here... it's better then pushing it all insde but getting so mad is probably not healthy and is a sign of a bigger issue, not just Kroger. I have worked for a few very big corps, big....this is America, Kroger is a FOR PROFIT company so remember, it's what you signed up for...they will turn a profit. No one is holding a gun to our heads...we can all leave at any minute. If you say you can't because of this or that, then you are saying this job choose you, you didn't choose the job...and I think we all know better then that. Cheer up~~it's only as good or as bad as you make it. We have amazing people, and some not so amazing people...every company does. Be the best you can be everyday. The universe has a way of unfolding as it should. Be a possitive charge in a negitive environment...you will mark a spark! Peace out!

to the OP... Kroger is not the perfect job, that job does not exist. I have had many jobs, they all suck in some way or another. Sometimes the job fits the person, sometimes it does not, its up to the individual to embrace the job. I have been with Kroger since 2007 and have never looked back. I think the job does suck sometimes but then I remember how much the other jobs I have done sucked even worse and then it doesn't seem so bad. If it's not for you then hey don't blame the job, just go out and find yourself the job that's right for you. This ain't exactly everyones cup of tea.

Agree. I got written up for being sick. I brought in a doctors note, had been to the doctor 4 times in the period I was missing work. I had a sinus infection & it was determined I am pre-diabetic. It took me about a week to regulate my blood sugar.
