Get your free Chicken this week thru the 30th. Make sure you sign up even though it is loaded on your card. You have to sign up so key retailing will look good.
why do I need to sign up? Thats typical Kroger management metality to try to corral all their employees into thinking they need to follow some sort of protocol. I can go to any Kroger store in my area at any time I wish and grab a savory chicken. I get that they dont want all the employees to grab them all at once but who are they to try to dictate when I can get my free bird. LOL

Got it, loved it. Kroger does more for their employees than most companies, but you people out there don't see that. 10% off Kroger brands everyday. That in itself is a break from having to pay full price. They are a good company, have a good reputation and will be here forever. People look for too much and want everything handed to them. Work your job, love it or leave it. There are always people at the door wanting in. Thank you Kroger.

Amen brother!
Somehow - I signed up for occasional text messages on my cell phone that give me free products. Just recently I got one for a free pack of Kroger Italian sausages which will taste real yummy on top of the manicoti i plan to make. Also got one for a free gatorade, free eggs, free salad kit, etc. And all I had to do was read some pin up on the breakroom wall and then text to enter!

We don't get 10% off Kroger brand, the only thing we get is 5% off for one purchase a week. Thanks Kroger for paying half my tax on items bought in the store that I work in one time a week. And yes, they give a lot to the day people, they get free lunches all the time, but night crew gets nothing. That's just how it is.
i know you are somewhat exaggerating it but i get your point. have you gone up to your store manager and said "hey - where's the love here? can we get a meat and cheese tray every once and awhile?"
night shift gets the shaft b/c basically no one but u guys are there. its obviously easier to brink up a sheet cake or left over deli platters during the day and stuff than to do it at 2am. but i'm betcha your store manager would be willing to have some made and stashed in the cooler for you guys if you just ask. give it a try.

Actually, no I'm not exaggerating. At the bare minimum at least once a week, usually twice they have some sort of free food for day crew in the break room. It is blatantly obvious due to them leaving the entirety of their trash & scraps all over the table and floor. And we used to get a lot better treatment prior to the last 2 store managers which started in 2007. Since then, they claimed, that they got in trouble for giving food to night employees saying that it was shrink and instead of giving all the things they were throwing away(managers specials that were not sold that day), they are now required to just throw them away. I personally don't care if we get any food or anything(considering we don't have time for it anyway, and an OCD department head who flips a ---- if there's even a moment of not working) but it's the lack of fair treatment. If you're going to have parties during the day, give equal treatment to the employees who don't work during those hours.
