the only person i know that has a higher pay rate among department head is the head meat cutter. Maybe the ones you've spoken to haven't topped out yet.

Because Dairy, Frozen and Drug/GM are all sub-departments of the Grocery Department. In corporates eyes they are not department heads, they are considered the Lead Dairy and Lead Frozen clerks. Which means they only get paid around an extra 50 cents an hour in most cases. Just another way for corporate to screw people out of money.

Minimum wage here is $7.25, and as dairy manager I made $10.95. Same with frozen and nutrition.
