This might sound so weird but has anyone else had dreams to do with Kroger?
One I had a couple nights ago was really strange. I'm not sure why, but there was a whole bunch of people sitting down on the floor in our area in between the bakery and the deli and they were unpacking something from boxes.
Then my dream switched to another part where I was in the cooler with one of my co-workers, who is like my best friend there, but there was a desk in there and we were working on the same thing the other people sitting on the floor were doing.
Then finally it switched again to another part where I don't remember why, but I was there again shopping as a customer on the weekend, and I said to one of the morning bakery ladies, "did *name of the co-worker from the dream* get fired because of what happened yesterday?" and she said "I don't know but it doesn't look good"...then i woke up and was weirded out by the whole thing, lol.
I think the long week this week got to me or something, because none of that made any sense whatsoever
I had a dream where a large front of the front end would actually spend a large part of the time in the break room. According to the demands of Quevision, we would clock in and work as needed, and if the balls dropped, clock out and wait in the break room.
Or, I often dream about checking out customers right as I go to sleep. Except, the dream isn't able to capture the details, and I get pissed off and wake up. It could be potentially useful as a segue into lucid dreaming, except I wake up every time.
There is a chemical the brain produces called D.M.T. (Diemethaltriptamine) that acts, in part, as a paralytic for your body not to act out your dreams physically. Turns out this same chemical is found in high secretions in the brains of psot motom persons, which may give reason to the whole 'light at the end of the tunnel' experience. In any case, this drug has been synthesized and is readily on the market---with results I have seen documented. Basically, you'll trip BALLS for about ten minutes upon ingestion.
Don't fk with it. Dreams are a natuarally occuring event just like anything else our bodies and brains produce. I don't care if you eat rabbit sht and Wheaties and jog and lift weights EVERY waking minute of your life, you're going to die one day.......Til then, don't focus too much on the things going on behind your sleeping eyeballs.
I had a dream that I was being crushed in the baler, but it stopped right when I was fatally injured and I was waiting for someone to turn it on to finish me off.
It pressed on my neck first, so I was unable to make any sounds to let anyone know I was stuck in there.
Not a pleasant dream. In my current position, I don't have to go in the back room hardly ever. What a nightmare.
Funny you should mention "Kroger" and "dreams" in the same sentence!!! First off, I should say that I like my job most days, but I used to have nightmares about Kroger, especially if I just had a really bad day. I never had a dream about Kroger, where the ending was positive...and that's if I didn't wake up before there was an ending!!! I tell people..."Kroger just "stole" 8 hours from me, while I was awake! They are NOT going to steal any more time from me in my sleep!!!" I've learned that you have to separate what you do at work from what you do at home...If I don't, I end up thinking about my bad day at Kroger, when I should be focusing on more important problems that are getting put on the backburner...Although not easy to do, you have to compartmentalize these things in your brain...It's for your own sanity!!! Don't let Kroger "steal" any more time from you than it has to...
I have a often reaccuring dream, where i go back to work for just one more day. i think the reason is, i worked there 13 years, never missing a day, always trying my best.
to just show up for work, get jerked upstairs after being there for a bit over a hour, and suspended perm, for a simple log error, just never felt like " an end" to It all, know what i mean ?
long waits for union meetings that never resolved anythiong, and then to be told, yeah we're dropping your case by the union, just left very unfinshed feel to it all.
I had a dream where I went back to get the frozen order for the deli/bakery department and the guy in charge of frozen had put it ON TOP of the back freezer. The stranger thing is I thought it was perfectly normal. I had to climb up there and pitch everything down on to the trucks. The hard part was the warehouse had sent out a whole pallet of these things called Snowflake Cakes. Don't ask me what a Snowflake Cake is. We've never had anything called a Snowflake Cake.

Yep yep, that definitely wins the prize....Those balers have always given me the creeps. Always thought it'd be a good thing for Stephen King to write about~
I hear the Self-Checkout in my sleep. My daughter said I once said "You have to leave the bags on the tray. It's a scale and knows when you move your stuff." when I was taking a nap. (Guess where I work in my store!)
Not a dream but union didn't do anything for me either, greivance filed over a year ago.Left unresolved, no contact, nothing! What division did you work in?
I work in File Maintenence (most stressful job in the store). I sometimes dream that I am hanging tags. I once dreamed that I had to go tell my boss that I executed the batches wrong and he was yelling at me and calling me stupid.
