"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please.  In less than 5 minutes from now we will be handing out free advertising gifts to all the adult shoppers.  Now this is to introduce new products that our store does not normally carry.   But you must hurry for these frree advertising gifts are available first come first serve.  The representative is on his way to the display that is at the end of aisle 1 where you see the flashing laser lights.  Once again, in less than 5 minutes from now...

Nope. I helped with inventory at a store for six hours today and didn't hear it at all.

Oh god they were at our store a couple of weeks ago. It was horrible. Every time the guy walked up front, I wanted to go turn all the speakers off. Or tear off my ears. Or both.

I hope to god it's a one time occurrence. It's that annoying. I helped at another store's re-grand-opening hooplah thing and they had one there too. Pray to your deity they don't come to yours.

This is the second or third time they've come to our store.  What's bad is apparently they're all trained to talk in the same annoying manner.  Yesterday, a woman was doing the pitch.  Today, it was a man.  They both spoke with the same speech pattern.  It's somewhat similar to the way radio commentator, Paul Harvey , used to speak.  As an example, when most people say, "But you need to hurry."  they say it straight through with no words being stressed and without any pause.  The people giving the demos say it like this: "But you need (pause) to hurry."  Their speech pattern is very clipped.  Every 3 or 4 words there's a pause.

Yes..... It's very annoying. Luckily they are gone for this season. They always stored their products in my cooler and they were pretty messy too :/

The annoying lady was using the phone in our breakroom until some took the receiver from the unit.

In my store it was more like...

Ladies and Gentlemen, in less than 2 minutes from right now we will be handing out brand new free advertising gifts to all the adult shoppers in the store...

The spacing represents the pauses between phrases, which is what made it really annoying. The irony is that the announcement took more than 2 minutes to make.

You didn't pause long enough.  It's more like this.  You have to say each word very emphatically with an almost robotic or android tone to your voice.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, (pause 3 seconds) in less than 2 minutes from right now, (pause 3 seconds) we will be handing out free advertising gifts (pause 3 seconds) to all the adult shoppers in the store right now.  (pause 3 seconds)  Now this is in order to introduce (pause 3 seconds) brand new merchandise (pause 3 seconds) that is not normally available at this store.  (pause 3 seconds) But you must hurry,  (pause 3 seconds) for this offer is first come first serve.  (pause 3 seconds) Once again, (pause 3 seconds and repeat the previous lines at least 3 times)  You will find the representative (slight pause) at the white and tan gift counter (slight pause) near the back of the store at the end of aisle 1 (pause) where you see the flashing laser lights (pause) on the ceiling.   (pause 3 seconds) The representive is on his way to that counter right now. (pause 3 seconds)  So if you are on your way to that counter, please hurry, (pause 3 seconds) as we about ready to start."  Now repeat the whole thing.

What I think is funny is first they say they're handing out free gifts to ALL the adult shoppers, then they say it's first come first serve.
