At my store, they have started cross-training everybody to run a register besides meat & deli employees. The worst part is that they're calling up department heads to check. My problem with this is that they will call up the department heads frequently and distract them from writing orders, or other very important tasks. They've been doing this because the front end has gotten their hours cut and the cashiers are getting 12-18 hours a week. This is so damn ridiculous!
Quevision brainwashes an already dimwitted floor supervisor into calling somebody up every 5 minutes, and then I come up and she says "Well, I guess I don't really need you now". All Quevision does is waste my time which is already limited.
Quevision wastes everyones time. Its not even accurate at all! It'll be like you only need 1 register open when you really need 6. The heads of Kroger need to realize that all it does is waste time and money putting those machines up and trying to look fancy for the customers. They DONT CARE they just want their groceries and then they are out.
I hear so much hate on Que vision yet at my store, it's rarely inaccurate. Regardless I barely pay attention to it anyway. If i have to call for relief help in other departments, it's because I'm stuck on the register as a supervisor and we're getting slammed. We'll use about 30 minutes or less of relief help daily for the whole store.
