This is a stupid question to ask. Not kinowing what department or any details, leaves one to wonder why you was hired in the first place. take a little advice here. If you want to ask a question , tike this, be smart enough to give some one a little information first or expect a stupis answer back.
you'll do the computer training(normally takes 2 days to complete) and then be sent out on the floor. The computer will not train you for much, if anything, that they will want you to do. If you're sent for cashier training make sure to ask questions and be given a proper tour of the store from someone who knows and has been working there for at least a year.
Do not let them send you into the fray unprepared.

I would listen closely and take notes. Def. ask questions and don't be scared to speak up. Also start looking for a better job. Kroger makes their employee's miserable!

You'll be going through a preschoolish orientation "class"
From the recruiter you'll learn about how "great" Kroger is and it's values in a insiped "fun" fashion.
Watch out for "Safari Steve" *facepalm* ...seriously it's so demeaning with the fake accent and the Crocodile Hunter theme is just in outdated bad taste.
Aside from that time will be split on your first two days at the recruiters store between the orientation and the computer training.
Oh, and if you work at a diffrent store than your recruiter, you have my sympathies

Agreed, treat Kroger only as a starter job, especialy if you're establishing yourself in a new geographic area.
As they say in the interviews if you inadvisably ask for management training "We can only let you in the door"
Make sure you get yourself the best deal in the interview, get the money you need to move on and line up Target or whomever else you'd prefer working for (Super Target breakrooms are awesome, arcade machines and actual TV no corporate propaganda crap)
